Liberal Youth are fighting in England today to get two talented women into Parliament at the general election. Help prove our record on equality by helping out in these crucial swing seats - just a few hours delivering and canvassing literally could make all the difference in these tight youth/student heavy marginals.
Another lazy weekend in, or action and skills for real change in Britain?
The Liberal Youth Action Network - the campaigning branch of the youth and student wing of the Liberal Democrats - will be leading the way in the Derby North and Romsey & Southampton North constituencies this weekend, and paying expenses for those willing to come and help. It's definitely not too late to attend - we're happy to have as many of you here to help get two very talented women into next year's Parliament.
Derby North
Derbyshire's a beautiful part of the world if you've never been - Liberal Youth's Activate and Bootcamp were held at Great Malvern, in the nearby Dales - and we're also looking to energise the locals with your enthusiasm*, experience** and good looks*** to get the local Liberal Youth branch in Derby pumped and ready to win.
If you're in the north Midlands or Yorkshire, it's not too late to join Liberal Youth in Derby! Get on a train down to Derby station to arrive before 12pm today - we'll meet you there, give you somewhere to stay if you need it, provide lunch, and pay for your ticket. You'll get valuable experience for the next few months, make a hugely important difference in this seat at the election, and make new friends and connections with other activists. Better than a weekend at home, no?

Romsey & Southampton North
Sandra Gidley MP is Parliament's only qualified pharmacist. At this time of career politicians raking in expenses and contempt towards their electorate, Sandra's fought hard for the youth and students of Romsey and Southampton in representing them since 2000. Her majority is just 125 so Liberal Youth are pulling out all the stops to help her put a stop to the challenge of the ferociously right-wing Tory challenger.
We'll be campaigning in the Southampton part of the seat, which has a large student population, and thus will be particularly receptive to your winning charm and liberal charisma!
If you're in the south-east, lower Home Counties, or in greater London, your support would be seriously appreciated if you joined Liberal Youth in Romsey & Southampton now. Book a train down to Southampton Central station to arrive before 12pm today - we'll meet you there, give you somewhere to stay if you need it, provide lunch, and pay for your ticket. You'll get valuable experience for the next few months, make a hugely important difference in this seat at the election, and make new friends and connections with other activists. Don't stay in this weekend - get out with the Action Network, and keep an empowered liberal voice delivering change that works for youth.
