Liberal Youth is the youth and student wing of the Liberal Democrats, an organisation of young people committed to changing politics and restoring faith in the political system of this country.

In the current political climate it is all too easy to lose faith and hope in the system and want to turn your back on parliament. Yet we refuse to become disillusioned and corrupted by mistakes made and their constant coverage in the press.

We have branches all over the country, especially in university towns, and in the run up to the General Election we will fight to get more Lib Dem MPs elected so that real change can come to Britain. The student vote is an important part in many of our held and target seats, so every Liberal Youth branch will work to recruit more members and activists, to increase our supporters and to campaign on a local and national level.

In the past, we have run many successful campaigns such as ‘Homophobia is Gay’ and ‘Save Darfur’ and ensured that the Lib Dems remain the only party truly committed to young people through continued party policies for Votes at 16 and scrapping tuition fees. We have a strong membership base and are growing at a rapid rate, with the organisation going from strength to strength. Liberal Youth has the largest number of voting representatives at federal conferences and we always make sure that our voice is heard.
